Book very gently read and was bought in Rag edge pages. Boards and spine are blue-grey cloth, lettering on spine is black in red boxes with Knopf and pictorial in black with no red boxes, lettering on cover is black BERLIN red Diary, pictorial black all inside a red outline.
Spine is straight, square, solid, no edge wear. Book has minimal edge wear. Book boards and spine are flat, clean, bright, no rips, no bent corners, no spine creases, no noticeable sunning, a tiny bit of edge wear on bottom free end of spine. Page edges on top were red now sunned down to pink, side and bottom cream, slightly sunned.
